Reviva Labs was a company that I was familiar with, but had never tried any of their products. However, when the company’s name came up in a private discussion with fellow beauty bloggers, they offered praise for the various products that were their favorite!
I’d like to thank one blogger in particular, Cindy, whom you all know on Twitter as Prime Beauty 50, and here is her Blog. I want to thank Cindy for giving my name to Anna at Reviva Labs, so that I would have the opportunity to test and review the products for my readers.
Ways to connect with Reviva Labs:
Kudos to Reviva Labs! When Reviva Labs began in 1973, they emphasized testing in Skin Care Salons, not on animals! Therefore, Reviva Labs may be the first brand sold in Health Food Stores whose products were tested with people actually using the products. Reviva Labs believed, and I agree, that by having a panel of skin care experts testing the finished products, they had even better information than the big companies who were testing on animals. Not only did they receive safety results, they also found out how the products performed!
“Reviva Cosmetic Labs has taken the pledge of the Humane Society of the United States and has made “The Beautiful Choice” to promote consumer preference for cosmetics and personal-care products that are not tested on animals.”
The two Reviva products that I received:
1. Vitamin E Stick
2. Spider Vein & Rosacea Day Cream–which will be featured in an upcoming post
Both products have this in common: sunscreen! Remember, sunscreen should be worn every day, not just in summer months, or when you’re on vacation in sunny location! When you’re outside, you’re exposing your face to possible sun damage!
Lots to love about Reviva Labs’ Vitamin E Stick:
SPF #15 sun protection, for both my lips and underneath my eyes. This will protect against UVA/UVB rays and wind damage. Very important as I know that lips are vulnerable to skin cancer! No scare tactics; just a fact.
The Vitamin E Stick is very soothing and moisturizing to my lips, preventing them from being dry and having that gross, crackly lip-look. The lip balm has a natural beeswax base with soy, Vitamin E and allantoin. Beeswax is important because it has the ability to lock in moisture and protect lips.
As is true of all of Reviva Labs’ products, they feature a vegetable oil base, rather than mineral oil!
Dr. Mehmet Oz recently told his television viewers that they should use a lip balm that contains beeswax; Reviva Labs’ goes even further with added ingredients and their benefits!
Product may be applied over or under a lipstick.
Translucent coverage, means that Reviva’s Vitamin E Oil Stick is great for both women and men!
As you can see from the picture, it’s very convenient to have the Vitamin E Stick in a “lipstick-type tube.”
Even the price of Reviva’s Vitamin E Oil Stick with SPF #15 is a bargain: US $4.00!
Where to buy:
In addition to the website store, you can call the toll free number (800) 257-7774 extension #19, to speak with a Consumer Division Representative. The Rep. can help with the ordering process or answer any questions.
Various independent health food stores also carry a varying array of Reviva products. The national chains that Reviva Labs’ products are sold in include GNC, Vitamin Shoppes, Whole Foods and Ulta Cosmetic Stores.
