Pureology: Shampoo & Conditioner Review

100% vegan? Yes! There are many types of Pureology products, but they are all 100% vegan. The two sent to me for review were: Serious Colour Care Pure Volume Shampoo and Conditioner.

The Pureology products have the anti-fade complex, which is a blend of antioxidants and full spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen. It also contains vitamins C & E. What’s the benefit to your hair? This neutralizes free radical damage and maximizes the color retention.

The Advanced Volumizing Micro-Emulsion Technology: there are tiny molecules that penetrate the hair shaft to not only improve the condition of your hair, but also to strengthen it. It also enhances color radiance and creates volume without weighing your hair down.

Multi-Weight Protein Complex of Soy, Oat and Wheat: Strengthens, rebuilds and repairs, and also adds fullness and body.

The Pure Volume Shampoo and Conditioner added shine to my hair; it also advertised that it would naturally boost hair’s body while delivering weightless moisture. While I feel I have a lot of body in hair to begin with, the shampoo/conditioner certainly didn’t feel like it was being “weighed” down with ingredients. I’d be curious to have readers comment who have used it on their thin hair.

The shampoo and conditioner had a great lather, and I loved the smell; it’s the Pureology signature aromatherapy blend of Amber, Mandarin, and Ylang Ylang.

The conditioner was so thick (in a good way) that it was much easier, and faster, to simply unscrew the top to dispense!

Pureology states that due to it’s highly concentrated ZeroSulfate 8.5 oz.shampoos, consumers will have 70+ shampoos per bottle! Pureology Shampoo and Conditioner bottles are 100% recyclable.

I loved that the shampoo was Vegan and had so many benefits, including a blend of antioxidants, full spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen, and helped to maintain color!

Products are available in salons nationwide; but their products can only be guaranteed authentic when you purchase them from a salon or spa. You may wish to read Pureology’s Commitment to Authenticity.

  3. Mmm. The amber, mandarin and ylang ylang must smell nice! Do you know how muh these retail for?

  4. I recently started using the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner and I think it’s the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used. I have long locks and I color my hair, and with other brands my hair always seems frizzy. I usually have to wash my hair everyday, but with this shampoo every other day. The scent of this shampoo and conditioner is clean and light. My hair has never looked better and I know it’s expensive, but I think it’s worth every dollar. I bought it online and they got it to me really fast.
