Love temporary tattoos? Wish they looked more like a real tattoo?
UTATZ kindly sent their product for me (and ultimately) my family, to test.
“UTATZ allows you to transform the art of a tattoo into your own form of expression. U Live. U Rule. U Decide. UTATZ. Perfected Temporary Tattoos!”
Why would someone want a temporary tattoo? As much as real tattoos are the ultimate in cool, you better make darn sure that you really like the design that you choose, and where you have it on your body, before you make, literally, a permanent commitment. Sure, you can laser it off, but that is not only time consuming, but expensive!
Drew Smith, the inventor of UTATZ believes that since people, “change makeup…jewelry…and clothes on a daily basis, it would be great to change the design of your tattoo with equal ease.”
It took Drew over two years to research and develop UTATZ. He wanted a perfect ink formulation. It also, of course, had to be safe. UTATZ is classed as a cosmetic product and contains FDA approved ingredients. It is safe to use on skin, and medical grade ingredients incorporated into the formula. The stencils are also made from medical grade ingredients.
Everything needed was in the Kit: the spray can, stencils and alcohol wipes, to clean the area before you tattoo.
Is it as easy as the steps listed below?
It is very easy.
However, I needed some practice.
The first tattoo:
So, what went wrong, and how to correct this for the next tattoo?
The directions given are excellent. The mistakes I made?
The directions say to use the UTATZ spray on the skin in short bursts that are no longer than 2 seconds and to spray from a minimum distance of 10-15 cm. I sprayed too close to the stencil in the above first try.
The directions also clearly warn to avoid over spraying as this will make your UTATZ tattoo run and you will not obtain clearly defined results. I think that was another problem I had with my first attempt.
But with my lessons learned…
The second tattoo:
The tattoo does look real, and UTATZ writes that it can last up to three days. I agree. The tattoos that we did lasted anywhere from between one day, to two days.
To remove a tattoo: wipe over with baby oil or an alcohol based cleaner.
Other facts: You can get between 25 and 40 single UTATZ from your spray can.
