What Does Painted Earth Cosmetics Offer?
In addition to skin care and makeup, there is hair care, Beer Wax Ecosoya Natural Repurposed Candles, high tech tools, jewelry and even pet care! You can check out all the offerings on the website, but today I will share with you what I have skin care and cosmetics.
I absolutely love that the ingredients are clearly listed, and there is even a separate page for more detailed information: Ingredients in Cosmetics.
Two of Painted Earth’s Scrubs:
I have two scrubs to tell you about: Blueberry Cranberry Oxygen Scrub and the Lite Sugar Scrub.
Blueberry Cranberry Oxygen Scrub
This is an amazingly thick scrub that looks good, and smells delicious. I would describe the Scrub as smelling fruity. This is an all natural facial scrub that is infused with blueberries and cranberries and has has anti-oxidants, Vitamin C, and essential oils.
I applied this Scrub on my wet face, and found that it was a gentle exfoliant. I rinsed off with warm water and had really soft skin afterwards. I have sensitive skin and have had no problems at all. I did not use this every day, as I was testing the scrub as well, but the directions indicate that it can be safely used that often. It’s that gentle!
Packaging: After you unscrew the jar, there is an inner cover to protect the Blueberry Scrub.
Check out the rich Scrub:
The bottom of the jar has a label with the ingredients:
Ingredients: Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Olea Europaea (Olive Seed), Jojoba Beads, Hibiscus Sabdraffia (Hibiscus Buds), Cranberry Fibers, Organic Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry), Carbomer, (2s)-2-Amino-5-guanidinopentanoic Acid, Punica Gradatum (Pomegranate), Citrus Aurantium (Petit Grain Essential Oil), Organic Rheum Palmatum (Rhubarb), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl (Vitamin E), Citrus Nobilis (Tangerine Essential Oil), Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol.

Lite Sugar Scrub
A natural, deeply exfoliating treatment infused with nourishing ingredients
After unscrewing the jar, a protective cover:
The Lite Sugar Scrub is formulated with fine grind sugar granules and active raw ingredients designed to be therapeutic.
I love the Lite Sugar Scrub, and I believe that you will, too! You use it on your face, up to twice a week, as well as on your body. For your face, gently rub the Lite Sugar Scrub in a circular motion, and then rinse off with warm water. As the directions indicate, you’ll feel that the Scrub leaves a bit of oil over, but just pat it dry. Do not wash it off, and then apply a moisturizer. The reason that you don’t want to wash off any oil is that these are conditioning oils that will soak into your skin to continue to nourish it.
Yes, it is possible to make sugar scrubs, but are they going to have the benefits that the Painted Earth’s Lite Sugar scrub has?
“Organic sunflower oil for gobs of Oleic acids with high amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E, also has beneficial amounts of lecithin, and unsaturated fatty acids. Deeply nourishing and conditioning for the skin and it is highly recommended for recipes designed to treat dry, weathered, aged, and damaged skin. It is easily absorbed and applied.
Coconut oil for beneficial Lauric Acid in high quantities. Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid, which has the additional beneficial function of being translated into monolaurin in the human or animal body. Monolaurin is the antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal monoglyceride used by the human or animal to destroy lipid coated viruses such as influenza, various pathogenic bacteria including listeria monocytogenes and heliobacter pylori, and protozoa such as giardia lamblia.
MSM, which is organic sulfur from the Oceans of the world.(MSM) occurs naturally in the human body. It actually makes up 5% of the human body and is essential for every organ, cell, tissue, hormone, enzyme, antibody, and function found in the body. This whole food is a beautifying mineral, and contributes to hair, skin, nail, and joint renewal and health. Bio-available, MSM must be continually replenished for optimal youth, nutrition and health.
Kukui Nut Oil has been shown to be effective in soothing psoriasis and eczema. High linoleic and linolenic acid content. Kukui Nut Oil contains Vitamins A, C, and E, providing anti-oxidants that help to protect the skin.
Macadamia Nut oil is one of the best regenerative oils available. It is high in monounsaturated fatty acids, and closely resembles sebum (the oil naturally produced by ones skin to help protect it). Macadamia oil is a fabulous, protective oil with a high absorption rate and has been successfully used as a healing oil for scars, sunburns, minor wounds and other irritations.
Vitamins A and E are for natural preservation, free radical scavenging, antioxidant activity, and fat soluble skin cell food.”
On the back of the jar, the ingredients are listed:
Ingredients: Sugar, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Organic High Oleic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower Oil), Silica, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Aleurites Molacana (Kukui Nut Oil), Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil (Macadamia Oil), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl (Vitamin E). **Whole Foods Premium compliant 09/2010
