Youngblood Mighty Shiny Lip Gel 2013 Review & Photos

Youngblood Spring Collection:

If you’re looking for a very pigmented, non-sticky lip gel, then check out the cruelty free Youngblood Mighty Shiny Lip Gel. This is one of the new products that is part of the Summer 2013 Collection, and the the color that will be available on June 1 is called Flaunt.

Flaunt is a very beautiful bright pink, that has a golden shimmer to it. The shade would complement any skin tone. It can be used by itself, or layered over a Youngblood Lipstick.

With so many lip glosses on the market, here’s the answer to the question:

How is Youngblood Lip Gel Different?

Beneficial Ingredients:

• Momordica Grosvenorii Fruit Extract has antioxidants to guard against free radicals and to slow premature aging
• Jojoba Seed Oil  is a great source of Vitamin E, which helps to fight chapped, dry skin
• Sweet Almond Oil  has oleic and linoleic acids, proteins and Vitamin D. This is great so you have nice soft lips.

Your lips will feel soft with this very rich formula. They will look shiny, and have a beautiful glossy look to them. The look is achieved without the presence of petroleum or mineral oil. Youngblood has only oils that are natural. As with my previous experience with Youngblood Lip Gels, they are not sticky or tacky. Youngblood Lip Gels have no synthetic fragrance; there is a subtle vanilla fragrance.

The applicator is great in that it is a specially designed tip. Make sure you pull the cap, and do not twist, before squeezing out the amount you want from the tube.

Price and size of the Youngblood Lip Gel: $25.50/.25 oz/7 g

The price point may be more expensive than that of similar products, but I believe that you’re not going to get the same quality!  I love the new color Flaunt, and highly recommend it.

Not my shade but looks good on you

The two shades I tried had lots of shimmer to them, with Stripped even having flecks of opalescent glitter in it. These don’t feel gritty on the lips at all, and actually feel and look incredibly glossy. Stripped would make a great gloss to place over a lipstick to give it a patent-shine effect. While Unveiled has more of a pink gloss to it, it doesn’t pack a ton of color, but it’s still a nice neutral that anyone can wear.
