Talia Joy Castellano and Milani Mint Candy Manicure

Talia Joy Castellano

Talia Joy Castellano was a thirteen year old  makeup guru who was such an inspiration to everyone who watched her over 150 viral YouTube videos. It is with such sadness that I write that she passed away this past Tuesday, July 16th, after trying to battle two different types of cancer, Neuroblastoma and pre-leukemia.

Talia Joy had a goal to have makeup tutorials to show everyone that  people who have cancer are still beautiful and that makeup could “serve as a  wig to feel comfortable.”

Last fall, Ellen DeGeneres had Talia Joy on her talk show. Here’s a nice photo from her time on the show:

One of the questions Ellen asked Talia Joy was how she managed to be so positive while going through cancer treatments. Talia remembered Ellen’s character, Dory, in Finding Nemo, and said,  “A little fishy told me, ‘Just keep swimming.'”

Talia Joy Castellano posted one last Instagram picture, sadly just four days before she passed, and it was of a mint green manicure. So, in honor of Talia, I join everyone in adding my Milani Nail Lacquer Mint Candy manicure.

It’s so heartbreaking, I was so sad to hear about Talia. She did an incredible job touching so many people’s lives in her short time on earth – more than many do with 5x the years!
