One of my fellow bloggers, Crystal, who is on Twitter, and here’s a link to her blog: http://makeupbycrystals.blogspot.com/ had a post about false eyelashes. She very graciously responded to all my direct messages on Twitter, and then sent me this link to read one of her past reviews: http://makeupbycrystals.blogspot.com/2010/02/revlon-fantasy-lengths-false-lashes.html.
I was quite intrigued after I read Crystal’s post, which was a very positive review of Revlon’s lashes and glue. While I totally agreed with her review, as I tried the Revlon lashes and glue myself, I wanted to see if I could find an alternative for my beauty blog.
Yes, Revlon does meet Moxie’s animal-friendly criterion, as it is cruelty free, and here’s an article from PETA honoring two famous women, Olivia Wilde and Emma Stone:
“The ladies each earned a PETA Kind Choices Award for promoting cruelty-free cosmetics from Revlon, one of the first cosmetics companies to ban all animal testing.http://blog.peta2.com/2011/08/emma-stone-olivia-wilde-win-peta-award.html
I wanted, however, to find organic/natural faux lashes and adhesive for my blog. Ultimately, I did find false eyelashes and adhesives that I not only love, but fit the requirements of my beauty blog. I will be reviewing those in a separate article.
I just wanted to publicly thank my fellow beauty blogger, Crystal, for her help in starting my journey down the false eyelash road! Big tip from Crystal–give yourself plenty of time to practice putting on the lashes before you actually plan on wearing them!!
