Lisa Hoffman Beauty Tunsian Noroli Review

Lisa Hoffman Beauty

Lisa Hoffman Beauty is a cruelty free, Los Angeles based company founded by, of course, perfumer Lisa Hoffman. Each scent in the Lisa Hoffman Beauty line was crafted to capture the essence of Lisa’s favorite destinations from around the world and to transport women to places filled with beauty and tranquility. Some years ago I had been sent one of the Lisa Hoffman Beauty fragrances to try, and I loved it so much I decided to purchase it. Here’s my review for the Lisa Hoffman Beauty Tunsian Noroli Eau De Parfum.

Lisa Hoffman Beauty

The glass bottle holds two fl. oz, 60 mL. You can purchase it on the Lisa Hoffman Beauty website, or as I discovered, the Home Shopping Network. The cost starts in price from $22 and reaches upwards of $65.

Lisa Hoffman Beauty

The Lisa Hoffman Beauty Tunsian Noroli starts with classic florals, has a heart of neroli blossom, and then finishes with warm base notes. It has a heartnote of honeyed neroli amongst gardenia petals, orange blossom, ylang ylang, and buchu leaf.

Lisa Hoffman Beauty described the fragrance as a “sultry and opulent scent…classically feminine and utterly modern.”

For application, Lisa Hoffman suggests either spraying it onto your skin, or, misting it into the air and walking through.

To sum it up, I love the Lisa Hoffman Beauty Tunsian Noroli Eau De Parfum fragrance in the air, and on me!

Lush Cosmetics: The Gorilla Perfumers Have New Fragrances

Available now, and exclusively online, nine new fragrances from the Gorilla Perfumers, Mark and Simon Constantine, who a father and son team. They created all of their perfumes for Lush Cosmetics to be, “an antidote to boring, mass-market scents.”

I have not yet tried any of these fragrances from Lush Cosmetics, but I wanted to call them to your attention. The only downside I can comment on, at this time, is that I’m sure it will disappoint some fans that these are only available online.

1000 Kisses Deep
($39.95 30 ml/$15.95 10 ml/ $12.95 solid/ $3.00 2ml)

This is described as, “An exquisite and delicate apricot-note from osmanthus blossoms, combined with a touch of mandarin and deep resins, expresses the complexities of true love.”

B Scent
($42.95 30 ml/$16.95 10 ml/$12.95 solid/$3.00 2 ml)

This is described as, “A stylish and utterly feminine combination of rose tempered with notes of lemon, bergamot, fennel and sandalwood.”

Cocktail
($39.95 30 ml/$15.95 10 ml/$13.95 solid/$3.00 2 ml)

Mark Constantine writes that this is,“a beautiful dress-up fragrance; a final gesture in the ritual of preparing to go out for a special evening. The leading lady in this scent is ylang ylang followed by notes of jasmine, rose, orange blossom, oakmoss and sandalwood.”

Dear John
($39.95 30 ml/$15.95 10 ml/$3.00 2 ml)

This fragrance contains a splash of pine, cedarwood and vetivert with a strong coffee note.

Ginger
($12.95 solid)

This is, “a crisp and true ginger with the addition of mimosa, rose and jasmine to enhance the vibrant complexity. The matching Ginger lotion is available at Retro LUSH (online).

Ladyboy
($39.95 30 ml/$15.95 10 ml/$12.95 solid/$3.00 2 ml)

Ladyboy is unisex. “With notes of banana, seaweed, violet and oakmoss, it‟s not your average perfume.”

Love
($39.95 30 ml/$15.95 10 ml/$12.95 solid/$3.00 2 ml)

”Love opens with a bright green apple note and develops into a spicy fragrance with cinnamon and cassia to remind you of the exhilaration of romance.”

SuperWorldUnknown
($49.95 30 ml/$19.95 10 ml/$12.95 solid/$3.00 2ml)

The description for this fragrance is: “If you’re feeling down and lost, follow Swedish/Norwegian singer Karin Park’s advice and enter the SuperWorldUnknown. Karin’s title song was written for someone who had lost a loved one to make them see the world as a wonderful place again. Fittingly, the combination of citrus notes and chocolate in SuperWorldUnknown is like a surrealist dream of running away to the circus and escaping ties.”

The Smell of Weather Turning
($49.95 30 ml/$19.95 10 ml/$14.95 solid/ $3.00 ml)

”A countryside thunderstorm in a bottle, it opens in reverse. Starting with the fresh smell of rain on greenery after the clouds have passed, it develops a darker, smokier character as it warms on your skin. In the final stages, the smell of sweet hay and woods comes through. Contains notes of oakwood, hay, beeswax, nettle, English peppermint, mint and Roman chamomile.”

Has anyone purchased any of these new fragrances? Will you please leave a comment if you have. Thank you!

Lavanila Laboratories: Mini Roller-Ball Fragrance Set

Did you know that there are some “traditional” fragrances on the market that may be filled with petrochemicals, phthalate, propylene glycol, mineral oils, silicone, synthetic dyes, sulfates or parabens? Check the fragrances you have at home and read the ingredients listed.

I purchased The Healthy Fragrance Deluxe Mini Roller-Ball Set from Lavanila Laboratories and there are none of the above listed ingredients. This is all-natural; it has no harsh chemicals. Lavanila Laboratories infuses pure essential oils with anti-oxidants and plant botanicals.

Here are the listed ingredients: Alcohol Denatured (Organic Sugar Cane), Botanical Fragrance, Deionized Water, Lycium Barbarum (Goji) Powder, Terminalia ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Fruit Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium (Canadian Willowherb) Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Alteromonas Ferment Extract, Chrysanthemum Indicum Extract (Chamomile), Oat Amino Acids, Glycerin (Vegetable), Vanilla Planifolia

It is available for purchase at Lavanila’s website: http://www.lavanila.com/ for US $34.00 ($48 value).

The set includes four portable roller-balls in the following fragrances:

0.17 oz roller-ball fragrance in Pure Vanilla: A sensual blend of Madagascar vanilla, soft freesia, and rich heliotrope

0.17 oz roller-ball fragrance in Vanilla Coconut: An exotic blend of young coconut, Tahitian tiare flower, and warm Madagascar vanilla

0.17 oz roller-ball fragrance in Vanilla Grapefruit: An invigorating blend of sparkling grapefruit, creamy sandalwood lime, and Madagascar vanilla

0.17 oz roller-ball fragrance in Vanilla Lavender: A clean blend of Spanish lavender, rose absolute, violet leaf, and warm Madagascar vanilla

Simply apply the fragrance(s) to clean, dry skin. Have fun experimenting with applying more than one fragrance at a time (layering); the set is a collection of complimentary fragrances. You can create your own signature scent.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. However, I won’t be winning any awards for my signature scent as I found that, to my nose, I was not particularly skilled at layering the fragrances. I do recommend it as a fun and economical way to try each of the four scents offered in the collection. Here’s the link to see the prices if you were to purchase them individually, and the different sizes available:  http://www.lavanila.com/Fragrance_c_2.html The rollerballs are terrific to throw in your handbag, and I had no problems with any leakage. While your need for “touch-ups” during the day will depend on personal preference, I found that all the scents were long-lasting.

Garden BotanikaUnfortunately, I had a problem from the get-go as I could not get the pump to spray. Yes, I did as instructed: “pump up to 20 times to prime it.” Still nothing. After I sent an email to customer service, Lisa, a Customer Care Representative at Garden Botanika very kindly responded. Within ten business days, two samples arrived. Both of them worked correctly, with very little pre-pumping required. Thank you, Lisa, for the great customer service!

Heart parfum

I love the fragrance! It’s just as described by Garden Botanika: “a soft blend of citrus, floral and cedar notes, warmed with a whisper of musk,” and, therefore, not overpowering. I liked that I could use Heart Eau de Parfum not only in the evening, but as an every-day fragrance.

No surprise to me, Heart is Garden Botanika’s best selling fragrance.

While this product is not organic/natural, it is cruelty free, and therefore, I highly recommended this as a great cruelty free fragrance!
