Here’s a sneak peak at the wonderful Youngblood products that will be available to all on June 1, 2012!
Connect with Youngblood:
Youngblood is the “premier luxury” mineral cosmetics line that is, of course, cruelty free, and made without talc, parabens, fragrance, or oil.
First to share with you: Mighty Shiny Lip Gels ($25.00 US)
There are seven shades in total, and I was very fortunate to receive two of them to review:
Youngblood Revealed and Exposed Lip Gels
Key ingredients, and why they’re beneficial:
Momordica Grosvenorii Fruit Extract- is rich in antioxidants to help fight free radicals that cause premature aging
Jojoba Seed Oil- is an emollient source of vitamin E, and is beneficial for chapped, dry skin
Meadowfoam Seed Oil- is a conditioning agent that revitalizes dry lips
Sweet Almond Oil- rich in oleic acid and linoleic acids, proteins and vitamin D to soften skin
What else is great about the Youngblood Lip Gels?
The shades will suit any skin tone.
There is no petroleum and there is no mineral oil. Check your lip balms! Many contain petroleum-based ingredients (examples: petrolatum, minerals oils and paraffin).
Youngblood Lip Gels have naturally nourishing oil to combat dry lips. Petroleum-based ingredients are obviously, not natural!
Some lip gels have synthetic fragrances, but Youngblood does not!
Youngblood states on the box that there is a “light vanilla scent,” but it must be very subtle, since I couldn’t smell it.
Great applicator!! Simply pull the cap off and squeeze the tube to dispense the amount you want to use. You then apply with the specially designed tip. The Lip Gels can be layered over Lipstick or used as a lip moisturizer.
Exposed: a sheer grape
Displayed: a sheer orange-red with gold shimmer
I love the colors I received, but Grape is my favorite, as I love purple! They were long lasting and didn’t feel sticky! I’m looking forward to the entire line being released on June 1, as I really want to try the other colors. Confessed, is the name of the “juicy watermelon red” color, so that may be my first buy!
In addition to the Lip Gels, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics will also release:
Youngblood Luminous Crème Blush ($27.00 US)
(My previous review of the Spring 2012 Luminous Crème Blush releases are here)
There are two new shades:
- Plum Satin – a rose-berry shade with a little bit of shimmer and
- Pink Cashmere – which I received for review, a matte carnation pink
Blush I received:
Ingredients include:
Allantoin-a moisturizing botanical that is an effective anti-irritant
Jojoba Esters-an excellent emollient
The product is Oil free!
Two new shades are suitable for all skin tones, but they are “ideal” for fair to medium. I am fair! The Pink Cashmere blush really gives a really nice natural glow.
I wrote to Youngblood Cosmetics, and they very kindly asked their Director of Artistry & Education, Philip Luque, for tips on applying the Creme Blush.
“With the Cream Blushes you can either use your fingers or my preferred method is to use our Luxurious Synthetic Blush brush for a polished look. Synthetic bristles are best to use since they are a bit stiffer.”
Quote for Moxie from Philip L. Luque, Licensed cosmetologist, make up artist, and Director Of Education & Artistry Youngblood Cosmetics.
I highly recommend the Youngblood Cosmetics that I received, and I look forward to their full release next month, on June 1, 2012.
