Memorial Day Nail Art 2015

Today is Memorial Day in the United States, and as Time pointed out, “It’s easy to forget what Memorial Day actually means while you’re sitting by the pool and looking ahead at summer vacation—but the day signifies much more than just a three-day weekend.” So please, remember all those who have died while serving in the United States armed forces!

After looking at lots of gorgeous photos, I have chosen one of my favorites, (see below), to try my own Memorial Day Nail Art. Here is the link to Manic Talons.

Memorial Day Nail Art

For my Memorial Day nail art, I used all cruelty free nail polish from Milani.

I used Milani Red Label (40), Blue Print (26), and Spotlight White (28) for the Memorial Day nail art.

Clearly, my nail art is not as professional looking as that of Manic Talons. I’ll work on it!

BlogForBunnies: Nail Art with Milani Nail Polish

BlogForBunnies

BlogForBunnies and BeCrueltyFree will hopefully be trending hashtags this week! I want to live in a world where no animal has to suffer and die for the sake of cosmetics.  The goal seems simple enough, but sadly, it is not so easy! Yes, there has been progress – we now have a full test and sales ban across the European Union, Norway, India, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Israel. There is  legislation being considered in Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, Taiwan and here in the United States of America.  There has even been a little bit of progress in China, where mandatory animal testing was removed for domestically-produced cosmetics.

Milani Coming Up Roses: Thoughts

The Warm Petal Blush has a little bit of shimmer, which is nice.  The Warm Petals is just as advertised. It is a silky-soft powder and it applied very nicely onto my cheeks.  I found that it was very pigmented–although you can wear it more sheer depending on your preference. I applied the Warm Petals blush early in the morning, and it stayed put for at least eight hours.

With this color, it would be excellent for contouring or for a bronzer, in addition, to simply being used as a blush.

Loved that this brown blush had a little shimmer in it and that the formula is terrific; and, again, you can’t beat that price of $6.49 for .60 ounces!
