Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics On the Go Beauty Set!

I was very excited to receive Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics On-the-Go Beauty Set! This is not only because Youngblood Cosmetics is cruelty free, but also, I had not yet tried any of the six items included in the Set.  All of Youngblood Mineral products are free from talc, perfumes and chemical dyes, and are non-comodogenic (they won’t clog your pores).

Available at the Youngblood Mineral website and New Beauty at Fred Segal for $25.50 USD, this set has deluxe size samples of six of Youngblood Mineral best sellers. As you can see in the photo below, you will also receive a beautiful ostrich print cosmetics bag, in which the products are enclosed. The Set is available for purchase in three colors: light, medium, and dark. I was provided with the Light shade, which was just right for my skin tone.

 Youngblood Mineral Primer:

Youngblood Mineral Primer is the first item in the Set. It is colorless and, as advertised, definitely helped in several ways. First, it smoothed out my skin so much that my pores were nearly impossible to see. Also, it made a very smooth surface on my skin before I applied my foundation. It is advertised as being lightweight and silky, and that is absolutely true. It does feel velvety. The formula just blended right in, and I think it’s great that it has minerals and vitamins for protecting my skin.

To use, I first applied a moisturizer, and let it soak in. Then, I pumped one drop of the Primer on my fingertips and rubbed them together to thoroughly mix the Primer. Then, I applied the Primer to my face. Youngblood Cosmetics writes that the Primer should be applied in circular motions. I learned what the exact amount was that I needed for my face–don’t overdo it! Just a tiny amount is needed.

Youngblood Mineral Eye Impact Quick Recovery Eye Cream:

Youngblood Mineral Eye Impact Quick Recovery Eye Cream is the second product in the Set, and is advertised as being to, “instantly hydrate and de-puff to reduce the signs of fatigue around the delicate eye area.”  While I can’t write that it happened instantly, I definitely agree that on mornings where I was exhausted, it did reduce the puffiness, and my eye area looked more awake…less fatigued, unlike the rest of me!  I assume that can be attributed to the great ingredients that are in this anti aging eye cream. Menthol and caffeine would help to decrease the puffiness, and the moisturizers include algae, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter.

To use, apply the eye cream with very gentle pats around the eye area. I found that I needed a very small amount, and that wasn’t even a full pump. The eye cream can be used in the mornings, and in the evening, after cleansing your face. It feels cooling when you apply this eye cream.

The only con I can come up with is that some people will argue that a separate eye cream is not necessary. However, as there are ingredients that perk up the eye area, if your facial moisturizer doesn’t have this, you should check it out.

Youngblood Mineral Radiance Moisture Tint:

Youngblood Mineral Radiance Moisture Tint is the third product in the Set. This Youngblood Mineral product has many purposes. The formula is developed to provide light coverage to your face. It is lightweight and will provide you with sheer coverage. The ingredients of Seve Marine, Kiwi Extract, and Vitamin E are beneficial because they will help leave your skin smooth.

As soon as I put this on my face, it felt very moisturizing, and left it even toned. As you choose your Kit color (light, medium, or dark) I had just the right amount for a nice healthy looking glow. 

It’s easy to use the Youngblood Mineral Radiance Moisture Tint. Make sure you have applied a moisturizer first, and then simply apply a small amount to your face and blend. Remember, this is a tint, and therefore, provides sheer coverage.

Youngblood Mineral Radiance Moisture Tint Illuminating:

Youngblood Mineral Radiance Moisture Tint Illuminating is the fourth product. The difference between this and product  described above is that this is Illuminating. It will luminize your face with a golden sheen. The only aspect that you may not want is, of course, the sheen. It’s good to try it, and this deluxe size is a great way to do it.

Youngblood Mineral Illuminating Tint Body:

Youngblood Mineral Illuminating Tint Body is the fifth product in the Beauty Set. It’s a very rich, extremely moisturizing lotion that is tinted, and is formulated to produce a glow on your body. This be used on your décolleté, shoulders, arms and legs. The fragrance is not overpowering, and is from the shea butter and coconut oil. I needed two pumps, and simply smoothed it on for coverage. Keep adding product until you have the coverage you desire. It will make your skin feel very smooth!

Youngblood Mineral Liquid Mineral Foundation:

Youngblood Mineral Liquid Mineral Foundation is the sixth, and final product, in the Set. The sample I received is the shade ‘Sand,’ because the Set I received was Light. However, while the Set is available in 3 shades (light, medium, and dark), if you purchase the Foundation separately, it is available in nine shades. The shade in the Set may not be a perfect match for you, but don’t let that turn you away from trying it with an appropriate shade.

One squeeze from the tube is all I needed. You can use a brush, your fingers, or a sponge. No matter what method I used, I loved the finish, and while I’m not sure the color was the perfect one for me, (I would want to also try the shades of pebble and shell), it did give me an excellent chance to see, and feel, the Foundation on my face.
