Oleum Vera is a new company, (launched November 1st), that sent a beautiful sample box that I would like to share with you. Oleum Vera is a do-it-yourself body care company that wants to help you with your self-care routine by building a cruelty free, all natural beauty routine. They’ll provide you with the ingredients and then you follow their recipes to create a product tailored to your needs.

I’m guessing that most of us would just love to make our own body, face and hair products. However, after reading even simple recipes, we’re unsure of where to get the ingredients, and how to make sure that when we do find them we’re ordering them from a legitimate source. In addition, some recipes don’t include any way to adapt them. For example, you want to make products that are for your skin type. If you have dry skin you certainly don’t want a recipe that is going to be too harsh and will dry up your skin!
It’s also a problem, whether you want to buy products, or to make them yourself, that you don’t get misleading, or false claims about the ingredients. The companies will phrase things to make you think that they are organic, without offering any proof. Oleum Vera eliminates this problem by being certified as organic by both ECOCERT and USDA. The company is also non-GMO and non-synthetic.
I love that all of the containers in the kit are reusable. There is also a recipe book, and if you go to the website you can view recipes and get even more by giving your email address. I did it, and except for having to confirm my email address, I did not receive any spam at all. Just access to more recipes!
