Living Proof

Living Proof is a cruelty free hair care company that I have been intrigued about since I first read about their entrance as a start up company. Living Proof first arrived on the scene in 2008 with claims that it had “the first new anti-frizz technology in over 30 years. For head turning, bliss creating, confidence boosting results. We stop at nothing short of products that keep their promise. And the only one who can prove it, is you. You are the living proof.”

Living Proof has a famous co-owner as their spokesperson, Jennifer Aniston, but that doesn’t mean that their products are going to work. Solia Professional Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer

Are you looking to replace a hair dryer, either because it’s old, or you purchased one in the last year that you’re unhappy with? I received one for review that you may want to consider: the Solia Professional Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer from Folica.

The hair dryer is packaged in this box:

It’s a great hair dryer, and there are many features I like.

What are the features:

1875 Watts of Power

Ceramic Tourmaline Ionic Fusion Technology- provides even heat distribution and decrease the time it takes to dry your hair

1.7 pounds–so it is very lightweight

There is a cool shot button which is advertised as being able to “set the look for long-lasting hold.”

The hair dryer has a long 9 foot heavy-weight cord; and it has hanging ring on it so it can easily be hung somewhere.

The Solia Hair Dryer has a warranty of two years from an authorized dealer, such as Folica.

Removable air filter cap:

This should be cleaned at least once every three months.

Concentrator attachment: Shown above, as its name suggests, concentrates the airflow to just the part of your hair that you wish to be styled. It’s actually very useful, so don’t toss out this part. You don’t want to be over-drying, so this allows you to work with your hair in sections.

I really loved the fact that the Solia is a quiet hair dryer. Obviously, it’s a hair dryer, so you’re going to hear it, but I was really impressed with the low level of the noise.

The only negative to the hair dryer is that there are only two heat settings. It would have been ideal to have a mid-range heat setting, as the highest setting may be too hot for your hair.

The cruelty free nuNAAT Chocolat Special hair care will be reviewed in today’s post. Their catchy phrase? “Who said chocolate is just for eating?” This hair care company does have several product lines, but I selected the nuNAAT Chocolat Special for “Guilt-free Satisfaction.” This hair care line has a combination of cocoa butter and Brazil nuts, and the line is suitable for all hair types, including chemically processed hair.

Consider the Benefits of nuNAAT Chocolat Special:

The cocoa butter benefits your hair with antioxidants.

There are vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and E and it’s rich in minerals.

The Brazil nuts contain selenium, for healthy hair and scalp.

Delivers healthy nutrients to hair follicles!

nuNAAT Creamy Chocolat Shampoo (8.4 oz)

This shampoo may be used daily to provide moisture for healthy, shiny hair. The smell is, of course, of chocolate. I love chocolate and found the shampoo to be really terrific.

To use, simply massage into wet hair (don’t rub!), lather, rinse thoroughly, and repeat if needed. This does contain sodium laureth sulfate.

nuNAAT Creamy Chocolat Conditioner (8.6 0z)

Having cocoa butter and Brazil nuts in this product means that hydrating nutrients are helping your hair to leave it moisturized and tangle-free. Use the Conditioner regularly, after shampooing on still wet hair. Leave on for two minutes, then rinse.

nuNAAT Chocolat Thermo Active Anti-Frizz (5.2 oz)

Experiment for the amount that is needed. You don’t want too much product, or your hair will look greasy! Start with a pea size amount and then keep adding as necessary. This worked as promised. The heat activated anti-frizz formula worked beautifully for blow-drying my hair. I had shiny hair, and a smooth finish!

nuNAAT Chocolat Special Cream Hair Mask (17.6 oz)

This can be used twice a month to revitalize hair, and to maintain your healthy hair. This is used after shampooing

You can imagine the nice big chocolate smell coming from this large tub! It’s very thick and feels very luxurious!

The hair mask should be left on freshly washed hair for up to twenty minutes. That’s to not only add moisture to your hair, but also to repair the hair fibers.

I wish…

While nuNAAT has a list of ingredients on the back of each product, I wish that they were also listed on the website. There are ingredients that are found in their products, but that doesn’t help to know about each individual product before you head for the store. However, the big fact that they don’t test on animals outweighs that criticism.

nuAAT has a wide range of products for all hair types and textures. The Chocolat products were all great for my hair, and I would definitely want to check out their other Collections!
