So, here’s my warning (to myself), and my readers, I’ve heard from the LUSH staff that The Kiss Valentine’s Day lip scrub sells out every year. So, you best be getting your order in online, or stop in soon to try The Kiss.  It’s pink, and will give your lips a little bit of a tint. It’s a caster sugar scrub that has a sweet mandarin flavor. In addition, sugar, a touch of sea salt and even edible red hearts will leaving your lips very soft, and smooth! It’s a great lip treatment, and it’s under ten dollars!

LUSH Cosmetics Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo Review

LUSH Cosmetics:

“Order Me A Pint of Beer…For My Hair!”

I purchased a LUSH Cosmetics shampoo called Cynthia Sylvia Stout. LUSH Cosmetics. I wanted to try this shampoo as I have read that beer is good for your hair if you use one that has ale hops and yeast.  Well, I am here to report that it is not a myth, and LUSH has formulated Cynthia Stout with organic vegan stout beer from a local brewery, and it contains protein to give your hair weight, smoothness, and a really beautiful shine. What they told me in the LUSH store was that this is the shampoo to use if you have hair that gets frizzy-looking when there is damp or humid weather conditions. This shampoo, though, can be used for all hair types.

LUSH Cosmetics Cynthia Sylvia Stout sizes and prices:

3.3 fl. oz is $9.95

8.4 fl. oz is $19,95

16.9 fl. oz is $29.95

This LUSH Cosmetics product is Vegan, which means that it does not contain animal products of any kind. As you might expect, the shampoo does have the smell of a fine ale. However, LUSH does add fresh organic lemon juice, lemongrass oil, and cognac oil, to provide a richer and very pleasant aroma overall.

LUSH Cosmetics Cynthia Sylvia Stout Ingredients:

Stout (Beer), Water (Aqua), Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Fine & Coarse Sea Salt (Sodium chloride), Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Cognac Oil (Vitis Vinifera), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogon citratus), Balsamic Vinegar, Yeast Infusion (Yeast betaglucan), *Citral ,*Geraniol , Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

Almost finished with the bottle! (My husband and son also love the shampoo and use it.)

LUSH Cosmetics

I love that LUSH Cosmetics products have the photo on the back of the product with the person who made it and the date. Also, the date of expiration.

What I love about LUSH Cosmetics Cynthia Stout:

  • Cruelty Free
  • Vegan
  • It’s for all hair types, but especially beneficial for taming the frizzes!
  • For all scalps because yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp and is said to encourages new hair growth.
  • Will add lots of shine!
  • As it did for mine, I’m sure it will give your hair lots of added volume
  • The shampoo lathers up really quickly!
  • The organic beer is local to the LUSH Vancouver manufacturing facility

Cons for LUSH Cosmetics Cynthia Sylvia Stout?

Yes, I really wish that it did not contain Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate.

In case you were wondering:

My children and I love Shel Silverstein! One of his poems is about a girl who refused to take the garbage out, and her name was: Cynthia Sylvia Stout. That’s where LUSH got the name for their shampoo (along with the clever play on words with “Stout” in the name and beer in the shampoo).
