Treat Collection Nail Polish Follow-Up

Treat Collection Nail Polish Follow-Up

I purchased a Treat Collection Nail Polish, which is cruelty free, vegan, and five-free. I previously posted about the Treat Collection nail polish shade A Special Something, and as I wrote, I decided to put the polish to the test.

After the first day, I found that Treat Collection Nail Polish was accurate in their advertisement as being fast drying, and with a fabulous glossy sheen. I applied two coats, and it did indeed dry fast, and it most definitely had a fabulous shine! The photo below is without any top coat at all!

I added a top coat to test out the claim of being long lasting. After four days, except for some minor scuffing (which I am sure is due to working, and being a Mom doing activities with my two and four-legged children), the polish looked great! So, I worked on some nail art to hide anything that wasn’t quite perfect. Here’s an update.

In addition to the beautiful shade and shine, I agree with the Treat Collection Nail Polish claim that it is long lasting. Check out my photos and let me know what you think.

First, I tried some nail art using FingerPaints, which is a Vegan Nail Polish, in black and red glitter. Then, for Friday night, (Saturday night we had a snowstorm so we stayed in), I decided to add some rhinestones to my nail. As you can see, the rhinestone photo is a different color red. That’s due to the fact that it was indoors, due to the dark conditions pre-snowstorm.

Treat Collection Nail Polish

Treat Collection Nail Polish

I purchased a nail polish from Treat Collection, which is cruelty free, vegan, and five-free. The five-free formula means that the Treat Collection is formulated without toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin. All of the Treat Collection products are made in the USA

Treat Collection has 66 shades of nail polish, in addition to nail care products and lip colors and lip shines.

The Treat Collection nail polish shade that I have to show you today is called A Special Something. I decided to put the polish to the test. Treat collection advertises itself as fast drying, long lasting and with a fabulous glossy sheen. So, here’s what I can report on after the first day. I applied two coats, and it did indeed dry fast, and it most definitely has a fabulous shine! The photo below is without any top coat at all! I do plan to add a top coat, and then I will test out the last claim of being long lasting. My hope is that the Treat Collection polish lasts at least 4 days, and then I will work on some nail art, and go back and update with some photos of the nail art.

So far, in addition to the beautiful shade and shine, I like the look and feel of the 15 mL glass bottle, and the brush is just the right width for painting fingernails.

Again, I’ll report back next week on what my final thoughts are about the Treat Collection nail polish.

New Year’s Eve Nail Art With 100 Percent Pure Polish

New Year’s Eve Nail Art

My New Year’s Eve Nail Art is actually what I had on my nails for Christmas. I hoped it would be a versatile look, and it would allow me to report on how it lasted over the course of six days. 100% Pure Nail Polish is cruelty free and vegan. It is certified cruelty free by Leaping Bunny! Also, 100% Pure Polish is free of the common carcinogens found in most nail polishes: formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, camphor, and formaldehyde resin.

I began my New Year’s Eve Nail Art With 100 Percent Pure Polish Ridge Filler, which is the base coat. This is 10-free. There is no formaldehyde, no toluene, no DBP, no camphor, no formaldehyde resin, no xylene, no parabens, no fragrances, no phthalates, and no animal ingredients!

I then experimented for my New Year’s Eve Nail Art With 100 Percent Pure Polish and ended up mixing two shades: Aberdeen and Innonence. I used two coats for complete coverage, and it applied very smoothly. It is, indeed, as the name states, a “creamy” nail polish. To keep with the cruelty free and vegan theme, I used only cruelty free and vegan glitter: Sally Girl, which is from Sally Beauty, and Hard Candy.

I added a top coat to my New Year’s Eve Nail Art With 100 Percent Pure Polish called Glass, but only on the section of each of my nails that did not have any glitter on it.

The photos for my New Year’s Eve Nail Art post were taken today, on day 3, Monday. I’m hoping that my nails will continue to look great, because I want to keep my manicure for New Year’s Eve!

Tiffany Nail Art: Cruelty Free and Vegan

Tiffany Nail Art: Cruelty Free and Vegan!

Today’s post for Manicure Monday is Tiffany Nail Art, and it’s both Vegan and Cruelty Free! That’s because the two shades that I purchased were FingerPaints Nail Color, which is polish manufactured by Sally Beauty.  The two shades used for the Tiffany nail art were Tiffany Imposter and Paper Mache. Check out my first photo below, and keep reading for a review of the polish.

Tiffany Nail Art: Cruelty Free and Vegan!

Tiffany Blue was a difficult shade for me to find, because I not only had the requirement that (of course) the nail polish had to be cruelty free, but also vegan. There were several shades that were close in color on a website, but then, in person, they were not quite a match. I actually spotted the blue shade on the Sally Beauty website, and finally, I was able to see it in person when it was restocked. I’ve always been very happy with FingerPaints Nail Color, and both the blue, and the white, are excellent. FingerPaints is easy to work with and they are very rich in color, and shiny, before even applying a top coat. I used only one coat of polish on two nails, and the rest, were three. Let me know if you can’t tell the difference. I found that the FingerPaints Nail Color is quick to dry, and although, of course, some of the Tiffany nail art embellishments fell off, the FingerPaints Nail Color itself lasted several days, without having any chips.

I believe that I paid $5.49 for each polish, however, as I’m part of their Beauty Club, I receive 10% off every purchase. I think that’s a great price for quality of the nail polish–and especially so given that it’s not only cruelty free, but also vegan! Have you tried FingerPaints?

French Flag Nail Art with Ciaté

French Flag Nail Art

With the heartbreaking news about the attacks in Paris, I decided the theme of my manicure Monday had to be French Flag Nail Art. I haven’t been back to Paris since my first trip, with my Nana, when I was fifteen years old. We loved Paris! My favorite activity was climbing the Eiffel Tower, and then having lunch at the top!

Here’s one of my photos for the French Flag Nail Art:
