Mont Bleu is a company based in Prague, Czech Republic, and they produce, and then decorate, beautiful items with Swarovski Crystals. Mont Bleu has glass nail files, compact mirrors, a variety of cosmetic tools, and jewelry. Mont Bleu describes itself as being, “all about quality and beauty,” and that is no exaggeration! I’ve written about them previously, and here is the most recent post. All of the items received from Mont Bleu arrive packaged with a certificate of authenticity card.

Beauty Products with Swarovski Crystals

Beauty products are obviously of interest to me. A beauty product with Swarovski Crystals…extra interesting, and gorgeous! Two of the three beauty products that were sent to me have them as an added decorative touch to the products. The Swarovski Crystals have a very unique light reflecting quality to them due to the unique amount of edges. Mont Bleu is a company whose glass nail files I have previously reviewed, and they have sent three beauty products for me to share with you today: a compact mirror, tweezers and a glass foot file.

First beauty product with Swarovski Crystals:

Here is the first item that I received for review that has Swarovski Crystals: a plastic compact mirror, which is nicely packaged in a box.

This gorgeous plastic compact mirror is oval shaped, and hand decorated with Swarovski Elements. Of course, it’s always nice to have a mirror in your handbag, and this one has two mirrors, one of which is magnified. It’s great that it’s so lightweight.

The only downside is if it would bother you that fingerprints show easily on this compact. Perhaps it’s just on the plastic version. There are also compact mirrors available on the Mont Bleu site that are metal (and the one Mont Bleu uses for their Twitter photo).

Second beauty product with Swarovski Crystals:

The second beauty item received from Mont Bleu: tweezers, which are made from stainless steel, and hand decorated with Swarovski crystals. Having nicely groomed eyebrows helps to make your eyes look more open, and they frame your face! So, obviously, having excellent tweezers is a necessity. I received the Mont Bleu tweezers in a yellow color, but the website has many other colors and styles available (with and without the Swarovski crystals), if that’s your preference.

As you can see from the photo above, there is a slanted tip on the tweezers, which is excellent! I was able to easily grab very fine hairs without any trouble.

Here’s a close up photo of the tweezers so you can see that both sides of it are hand decorated with Swarovski crystals.

I asked Nazgul, from Mont Bleu, if he had a photo of the tweezers being decorated with the Swarovski crystals. He didn’t, so they took a photo for me!! This is one of the styles that is offered on the website.

The third item I received doesn’t have crystals, but is actually a really important part of having your feet look and feel good. No one wants hard, cracked heels! Mont Bleu has glass foot files/scrapers. The glass files do an excellent job of gently removing any hard skin on your feet.

This is a great alternative if you’re using a pumice stone. The glass files are very comfortable to hold, and as you can see from the photos, is a nice thickness.

It’s easy to clean a glass nail scraper. You can wash it off in hot water, or, if there are multiple people using it, you can sterilize the glass scraper. Really outstanding. Just the perfect amount of abrasiveness on the glass scraper.

Glass Nail Files with Swarovski Crystals Review

Nazgul, from Mont Bleu, has not only sent me a beautiful crystal glass nail file, but he has also been extraordinarily generous in sending extras, so I could offer them as a “Giveaway” to you, my faithful readers!

First – about the nail files. Every one of the crystal nail files are hand-made. The meticulous hand work of decorating the crystal nail files with the Swarovski Crystals can be seen in this photo below:

The material that Mont Bleu uses in the production of their glass nail files is Czech tempered glass.The different types of crystals which are used to decorate the products have a very unique light reflecting quality to them, and that’s due to the Swarovski crystals’ unique amount of edges.

The quality of a glass nail file, in my opinion, simply cannot compare to that of any other nail file material. Plus, you may not have thought about it, but glass nail files are eco-friendly, because they are made from renewable resources. Plastic nail files pollute, paper nail files are, of course, made from wood, and metal nail files use our planet’s resources.

While Mont Bleu glass nail files cannot guarantee against breakage, the file does have a life-long guarantee for its abrasive surface. I really made sure that I didn’t handle the file delicately, since I knew that would be my question, if I were a reader. I used it as I would, any other file, and filed away at my fingernails and toenails.

I was not nervous about the glass breaking while I was using it. Why? The ends of the Mont Bleu glass nail file are sanded up by hand, and this is done to prevent cuttings. Mont Bleu writes that their file is so durable, the chances are “nil that glass nail file will ever break in everyday day use.”

It’s easy to clean a glass nail file, either by washing it off in hot water, or, with multiple users, you can sterilize the glass nail file. My daughter also tried the file and we both came to the same conclusion: beautiful, and most importantly, it did an outstanding job. It was nice and sharp with just the right amount of abrasiveness on the file. Plus, who wouldn’t want to receive this gorgeous file as a gift—or to purchase it for yourself?!
