LUSH Lip Scrub: The Kiss

LUSH Lip Scrub: The Kiss

Have you ever tried a cruelty free LUSH Lip Scrub? I love them!. My favorites are Bubble Gum and Popcorn. Last year, I tried to purchase the vegan LUSH Lip Scrub The Kiss, and it was completely sold out.  LUSH Lip Scrub The Kiss
So, here’s my warning (to myself), and my readers, I’ve heard from the LUSH staff that The Kiss Valentine’s Day lip scrub sells out every year. So, you best be getting your order in online, or stop in soon to try The Kiss.  It’s pink, and will give your lips a little bit of a tint. It’s a caster sugar scrub that has a sweet mandarin flavor. In addition, sugar, a touch of sea salt and even edible red hearts will leaving your lips very soft, and smooth! It’s a great lip treatment, and it’s under ten dollars!

Has anyone tried a LUSH Lip Scrub? If so which one(s)?

I written about LUSH products many times. At the link, you’ll find the latest one.

Valentine’s Day Nail Art: Milani & 100% Pure Polish

Valentine’s Day Nail Art

February 1st means it’s time for some Valentine’s Day nail art! I have used two brands that are, of course, cruelty free: 100% Pure and Milani. In addition, they are both Leaping Bunny approved brands. 100% Pure is a vegan nail polish. I used 100% Pure Horsetail Base Coat. Then, I applied two coats of the shade Innocence. It’s a really pretty, soft, pink. Then, I used Milani for some of my nail tips. I also used it for the glitter in the shade Disco Lights.

I love both nail polish companies because the nail polish is extremely easy to apply, the shades are so pretty, and the price is always reasonable!

No surprise, but it’s always very interesting to see how different a manicure looks in different lights. The first photo of my Valentine’s Day Nail Art was taken during the daylight hours. This is my favorite, because it shows just how delicate the pink shade is, and the lovely glitter polish.

This is one day later, and it’s in the evening, trying to find some good lighting for you to see the colors and the glitter of my Valentine’s Day Nail Art.

Treat Collection Nail Polish Follow-Up

Treat Collection Nail Polish Follow-Up

I purchased a Treat Collection Nail Polish, which is cruelty free, vegan, and five-free. I previously posted about the Treat Collection nail polish shade A Special Something, and as I wrote, I decided to put the polish to the test.

After the first day, I found that Treat Collection Nail Polish was accurate in their advertisement as being fast drying, and with a fabulous glossy sheen. I applied two coats, and it did indeed dry fast, and it most definitely had a fabulous shine! The photo below is without any top coat at all!

I added a top coat to test out the claim of being long lasting. After four days, except for some minor scuffing (which I am sure is due to working, and being a Mom doing activities with my two and four-legged children), the polish looked great! So, I worked on some nail art to hide anything that wasn’t quite perfect. Here’s an update.

Treat Collection Nail Polish

In addition to the beautiful shade and shine, I agree with the Treat Collection Nail Polish claim that it is long lasting. Check out my photos and let me know what you think.

First, I tried some nail art using FingerPaints, which is a Vegan Nail Polish, in black and red glitter. Then, for Friday night, (Saturday night we had a snowstorm so we stayed in), I decided to add some rhinestones to my nail. As you can see, the rhinestone photo is a different color red. That’s due to the fact that it was indoors, due to the dark conditions pre-snowstorm.

ColourPop Cosmetics Puppy Love

ColourPop Cosmetics Puppy Love

ColourPop Cosmetics, the cruelty free beauty company from Los Angeles, California has a beautiful shade cruelty free and vegan shade that I’d like to tell you about. The shade is called Puppy Love, and is described as a soft peach with pink & gold duo chrome in a pearlized finish. Sounds really pretty, right? The best part is that there is no need to feel guilty about another beauty purchase as ALL of the proceeds from the sale of the Puppy Love shade will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society, and their effort to “save them all.”

Just don’t take too long to think about purchasing Puppy Love, as this is a limited edition product. It’s only $5.00!

I love the Cosmetic’s philosophy: “We think that whole barrier between fancy and affordable is absolute nonsense. That’s why all of our products have luxury formulas at prices that won’t break the bank.”

Here is the website for ColourPop Cosmetics: https://colourpop.com/

In case you’re not familar with Best Friends Animal Society, it’s an organization that works with shelters, rescue groups and members nationwide to end the killing of dogs and cats in shelters—and Save Them All.

Let me know if you’re going to pick up Puppy Love!

Treat Collection Nail Polish

Treat Collection Nail Polish

I purchased a nail polish from Treat Collection, which is cruelty free, vegan, and five-free. The five-free formula means that the Treat Collection is formulated without toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin. All of the Treat Collection products are made in the USA

Treat Collection has 66 shades of nail polish, in addition to nail care products and lip colors and lip shines.

The Treat Collection nail polish shade that I have to show you today is called A Special Something. I decided to put the polish to the test. Treat collection advertises itself as fast drying, long lasting and with a fabulous glossy sheen. So, here’s what I can report on after the first day. I applied two coats, and it did indeed dry fast, and it most definitely has a fabulous shine! The photo below is without any top coat at all! I do plan to add a top coat, and then I will test out the last claim of being long lasting. My hope is that the Treat Collection polish lasts at least 4 days, and then I will work on some nail art, and go back and update with some photos of the nail art.

So far, in addition to the beautiful shade and shine, I like the look and feel of the 15 mL glass bottle, and the brush is just the right width for painting fingernails.

Again, I’ll report back next week on what my final thoughts are about the Treat Collection nail polish.
