LVX Prussian Review and Photos

LVX Prussian Review and Photos

LVX Prussian, a deep blue green hue was chosen for my Monday manicure. LVX is cruelty free, vegan, and a Leaping Bunny approved brand. In addition, it’s seven free and in their words, “socially responsible.” That means it’s made without Formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, Toluene, Camphor, Xylene & Parabens. LVX is also TPHP free and Gluten Free. It is made here, in the USA.

It’s August, and where I live the hot summer will soon be gone, and the crisp fall weather will arrive. The LVX website describes it as the, “hottest color for the Fall and Winter seasons…and the perfect transition as we enter the dark nights of the autumn season.”

The photo below is taken in my family room, as the sun shines in the windows.

LVX Prussian

I think that the LVX Prussian is a gorgeous teal!  I have applied two coats of the LVX Prussian, and one coat of a top coat. This is my first attempt at nail art stamping.

The photo below was taken outside in very bright sun, and it was very hot and humid when I took this.

LVX Prussian

LVX Prussian is one of the LVX shades that I have in my polish collection, and I have always found that it has lived up to it’s advertised claims. LVX Prussian is rich and creamy, and it’s easy to apply, with a smooth finish and a beautiful shine. I’ve been able to get 5 days out of my manicure–so far.  I believe that I purchased the 15ML – 0.5OZ glass bottle for $18.00, but always consult their website for the current prices, and further information. I highly recommend LVX Prussian!

As a bonus to those who have read my whole post, here’s an interesting tidbit. LVX is a noun, and it means lux in Latin; Light. The essence of all color. I took Spanish in school, but apparently, had I taken Latin, I would have immediately known that a U in Latin is written as a V.

Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Soap Review

Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Soap

Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Soap is a cruelty free product that is almost empty. A previous post reviewed Dr. Bronner’s Lemongrass Lime pump soap that was completely finished. I purchased this in a 24 fluid ounce bottle. There is a 12 oz. version.

I bought the Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Soap because I knew that it was truly organic, and could be used on my body, face, hair and hands. Hence it being called a 4-in-1 product. Dr. Bronner’s formulated it with pure Castile soap base with organic shikakai, and other natural oils. I bought it in a pump form, because of the convenience: I wanted to be able to quickly pump out the soap.

Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Organic Soap

Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Pump Soap combines pure Castile soap base with organic shikakai and other natural humectants. That made it feel very moisturizing, but definitely not oily! There is also organic lemongrass oil and organic lime oil. In case you haven’t used this product before, you may not know that organic shikakai comes from the seed pods of the South Asian Acadia Concinna tree, and has a long history of being used in India to very gently clean the skin and hair.

Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Organic Soap

As you can see from the clearly labeled bottle (above), Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Soap is certified from, among many organizations, including Leaping Bunny.

I have to admit that I did not try this on my hair, although it does smell amazing!  Dr. Bronner recommends that after washing your hair with the Tea Tree Organic Soap, you should then use a lightly acidic conditioning rinse–not surprisingly, they recommend their own: Dr. Bronner’s Citrus Organic Hair Rinse.

Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Organic Soap is in a 100% recycled plastic bottle. So, far, I love the scents in the 4-in-1 line!

Yes, I most definitely would purchase this again, but I would try other scents firstsince I’m very curious.

Color Club Cloud Nine Review and Photos

Color Club Cloud Nine

I almost didn’t buy Color Club Cloud Nine, a cruelty free and vegan nail polish. That’s because a while back I read some posts about how the bloggers were waiting until the sun came out to take the photos. I thought, well, good grief, how am I going to get better photos than a nail blogger?! Then, I decided, I had to try Color Club, and if I couldn’t get good photos, I would just enjoy the polish, and not post to my blog.

Color Club Cloud Nine

The Color Club Cloud Nine is a totally gorgeous linear holographic hue. Now, while Color Club writes that it is a pink shade, I think it also appears purple in many of my photos (and in real life). I don’t think you need to be a nail blogger to appreciate this one, and while holographic polishes may look their best photographed under sunlight, I found myself starting at my nails all week, under all different lighting conditions.

Color Club Cloud Nine

For the photos, I easily applied two coats of polish. If I only applied one coat, it would have been almost opaque. I was going to add nail art, and then I decided I really didn’t want to this time. I purchased other colors from Color Club, and maybe I’ll do nail art with the other shades.

This is Color Club Cloud Nine with the sun directly overhead.

Color Club Cloud Nine

Let me show you what Color Club Cloud Nine looks like in indirect light, as I work at my computer.

It’s just gorgeous, and I would highly recommend Color Club Cloud Nine!

Aromafloria Body Polish Review and Photos

Aromafloria Body Polish

Aromafloria Body Polish is a gentle, cruelty free and vegan body scrub that I received, and you need to read about. The exact product name is Aromafloria Stress Less Foaming Salt Glow Body Polish

For almost thirty years, Aromafloria has formulated body care and aromatherapy products. Each of the items is formulated with a custom blend to deliver health benefits.

Aromafloria Body Polish
For example, the product I tried was the Aromafloria Body Polish, which contains these active aromatherapy essentials:
Lavender—which will help to reduce and ease your worries
Chamomile—which helps to calm the mind and will make your skin soft and smooth
Sage—helps to rid you of irritability so you have a better feeling of well being
Aromafloria Body Polish
Aromafloria aromatherapy products are manufactured in a USDA Certified Organic facility that is 100% wind powered. The ingredients are all from fair trade markets, and Aromafloria ensures that their suppliers adhere to the highest ethical standards. It is cruelty free and vegan, and is free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates.

Aromafloria Body Polish

I love that the 12 oz tube is sealed, so you don’t have to worry about anyone messing with the product before you use it!  The formula of the Aromafloria Body Polish smells wonderful, and it gently exfoliated my skin.

Although it has not been feeling dry (it’s summer as I review this), it was still really helpful since it most definitely made my skin feel smoother.

Aromafloria Body Polish
It’s of course, easy to use. I used this in the shower, and (gently) rubbed my skin in circular motions with the Aromafloria Body Polish. After, I rinsed off.

Why do you want to exfoliate? If your skin looks dull, or if it looks flaky and dry, you definitely need to try exfoliating with the Body Polish. Then, make sure you apply a moisturizer because it will penetrate more easily after exfoliation. It’s also great to use before any self-tanning product.  The company also points out that the Aromafloria Body Polish will scrub away daily stress.

The only con that I could come up with is that if you’re looking for a really “scratchy” exfoliating  experience, you will not like the gentle feeling from the Aromafloria Body Polish.

Void Beauty Kiss Me Review and Photos

Void Beauty Kiss Me

Void Beauty Kiss Me, is a certified cruelty free, vegan, 5-free nail polish brand, and shade that I received. I totally love their motto, “Beauty doesn’t have to be toxic.” The first Void Beauty shade I reviewed Hissy Fit, can be found at the link. Void Beauty is eco-friendly, and is USA based.

We all certainly want our beauty products void of the things that, as the company writes, “aren’t so good for us,” so Void Beauty is free of the harmful chemicals Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. In addition, Void Beauty also does not have the toxic ingredients of Lead, Parabens, Xylene, and Ethyl Tosylamide.

I’m also happy to write that Void Beauty is certified cruelty free from Leaping Bunny and PETA!

Void Beauty offers customers a wide variety of nail polish shades in a 0.5 fl oz-15 ml, beautiful, glass bottle. Now, “All you have to do is pick the hues to suit your mood.”

Here is the gorgeous Kiss Me shade!!

I took lots of photos of Void Beauty Kiss Me, an amazing shade of hot purple, with gold micro flecks.

In the photo below, I have two coats of polish, and a top coat, on all my nails. As you can see, this was taken outside, on a beautiful, sunny day. This is the only photo with a top coat on, as it’s always recommended to make any nail polish last longer.

The photo below was actually taken the firsr day I put the Void Beauty Kiss Me on my nails. I did not apply a top coat.

Again, another photo taken on the first day I put Void Beauty Kiss Me on my nails, with no top coat. Beautiful shade and shine, and this one was even taken indoors!

This last photo was also taken on the first day that I applied Void Beauty Kiss Me. I had not yet applied a top coat. This was taken indoors, posing against an orchid.

Void Beauty  Pros and Cons

I love that Void Beauty Kiss Me is free of so many harmful chemicals, but one suggestion I would make is that something–the nail polish bottle, or the website, had a list of ingredients used in the polish. There is no nail polish box, but it was very safely and securely wrapped up, and shipped from Amazon. If for some reason you don’t want to place an online order, Void Beauty has a list of stockists on their website.  For the current price, and other information about the polish that is void of many of the awful chemicals that may be in your current nail polish, make sure to check out the Void Beauty website.

Void Beauty has very kindly offered a 15% off promo code for you to use when ordering:  MOXIE716. Let me know if you have any difficulty with that.

Disclosure: I received the polish for possible review. All links are for your convenience only.
